April 10, 2008 – Sound Fighter Systems, LLC has introduced a fully-portable, high-performance noise barrier designed specifically for temporary or changing applications like construction sites.
“Although our stationary LSE System is well-known and trusted in the acoustic community as one of the world’s best absorptive sound walls,” notes Sound Fighter’s VP Murray Stacy “the increased demand for noise mitigation on construction sites led us to develop a portable version of the LSE System. Our challenge was to maintain the legendary acoustic performance of the LSE System while incorporating ease-of-use and sufficient portability. I think our Mobile LSE Noise Barrier accomplishes this.”
LSE Mobile Sound Wall Specs
- Easy, bolt-up assembly; no cutting, drilling or special tools required.
- Can be positioned for any shape or configuration.
- Free-standing for wind loads up to 75mph, and can be easily anchored with screw-in ground anchors for applications with higher wind loads.
- Can be custom designed in different sizes. Common sizes range from 12-18 ft wide, and 10-24 ft tall.
- Like the permanent LSE System, all structural steel is custom fabricated in Sound Fighter’s own plant. All welding conforms to American Welding Society D1.5 and Electrodes shall be E70XX. All fabricated steel members are hot dip galvanized after fabrication per Publication 408 Section 1086.
- Have an NRC of 1.05 per ASTM Test Method C423-90a, and an STC of 33 per ASTM Test Method E90-90 and E413-87.
Stacy adds, “Construction companies face unparalleled noise attenuation demands, and they now have a proven, durable sound wall that can be arranged in any number of configurations for any number of applications. The units are easy to assemble, disassemble and move, and we think it will be an ideal solution for their unique and changing needs.”
